After the Rain

It rained most of the night and pretty much all day so before church I went down to the creek to see how high the water was. We had a pretty bad flood in September when this creek came over the bank and the water rises FAST. It was COLD! I love how stark this picture looks with everything so grey then the pop of the leaves.

Very Merry CHRISTmas

From all of us here at Ramble and Muse I would like to send a very Merry CHRISTmas to you all. I will leave you with this song from Downhere called "How Many Kings". It perfectly sums up anything I could say.

It's lookin' like Christmas.

This ornament was on my Great Grandma's tree. It is one of the few things I have of hers. It is the only ornament on my tree this year. Granted, my tree is only 12inches tall, but I like the way it looks with just the one.

Thanksgiving Weekend

So, some friends and I went to his little place called the Homestead Heritage Crafts & Children's Fair on the weekend after Thanksgiving.
It is beautiful.
I made a broom.

And ate ice cream.

summer time! ahh, the life :)

so, i thought I would share some pictures of my summer so far. since my big vaca isn't until September it's gonna be a loooonnnngggg boring summer!

We went to Corpus Christi for my cousin Kathi's wedding(congrats to Kathi and David) and spent some time at the beach. This is Franklin. He's a hermit crab.

We also went to the Texas State Aquarium. I love sea turtles!

Now, I've heard of having your head in the sand but in the water!?!

That's all the excitement I've had so far. Come on September.
